CHRISTINE SIMMONS
Interim Chief Operations Officer
As career working mom, executive, entrepreneur and impact maker, Christine is as passionate about the development of great humans as she is their intellect. Operationalizing the good is her specialty.
She relaunched, rebranded and rebuilt the LA Sparks when new ownership took over. The team went on to lead the league in ticket sales, revenue, fan experience, and won a champions in her tenure as President & COO.
As the first woman and Black person to serve as the COO for the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences (The Oscars), she led strategic planning, new revenue generation, marketing, operations, and so much more.
From her term on the Board of Regents for the University of California to being a founding member of a charter middle school in East LA, she loves showing how education and social capital can be the key catalyst to change trajectories.
